Since opening its doors in 1978 this unique gallery and gift shop has been allowing Albuquerque to connect directly with artists. Featuring exclusively the work of senior-aged local artisans—and run entirely by the volunteer manpower of the Assistance League—Blue Portal has served nearly 5000 senior crafters and artists. The efforts have also returned more than $1.5 million to the artists. The best part? No commission is charged allowing the artisans to receive 100% of the purchase price.
