The words ‘old school’ have a very positive meaning in describing this iconic hunting store that launched in 1972. Despite the passing of founder Charlie Domenici earlier this year (he was a cousin of the late U.S. Senator Pete Domenici) the legacy of Charlie’s carries on. The head gunsmith (coincidentally named Charlie Jackson) has been repairing and conditioning firearms here for 35 years and several of the shop’s staff have been onboard for 10 or more years. The store even has a rod-and-reel repair center (we dare you to find that at the chain sporting goods stores).
